THE COMPANY

Newman, Giles & Company Limited is a multi-disciplined company providing marine surveyors, consultancy and expert witness services.

The company, (previously Gordon, Giles & Company Limited) was formed in 1998 by the former staff of Vine Gordon & Company Limited.

IT:

Newman, Giles & Company Limited is equipped with a networked office computer system incorporating a file server, workstations, printers and other office equipment. Surveyors have laptop computers and e-mail access when travelling.

Business Software:

The core of Newman, Giles’ business software is the Microsoft Office suite, supporting high quality reports with the capability directly to incorporate drawings, photographs, sketches, output from spreadsheet calculations, and technical software.

Technical Software:

In addition to Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, which provide the majority of Newman, Giles' technical software requirement, a range of specialist software is available including the AutoHydro Ship Stability and Longitudinal Strength package, AutoCad graphics, MathCad, Vissim, our own "Marinus" manoeuvring simulator and many specialist programs written in house. Solutions can be tailored to Client requirements.
